inspired by literature: Rules of Civility

I lllloved this book. Have you read it? The story takes place in 1938 and follows a twenty- five-year-old Katey Kontent as she navigates New York society and climbs from a Wall Street secretarial pool toward the executive suites of Condé Nast. One of the themes is how seemingly insignificant choices or chance events in your twenties can have a profound effect on which direction your life takes you. A smart and charming escapist read, this book had me wishing I could stay in its world a little bit longer.
