I love how this photo looks as if we’re walking on the moon. But really, we were out for a walk in the snow (Anna in her sleigh and I). We live in Winnipeg, though sometimes it feels like the moon or some surreal otherworldly place. Winters can be beautiful and brutal. It’s been said that there’s no bad weather, only the wrong clothes. To some extent that’s true, but it does take a lot of effort to live in the cold. Many things become more difficult to do, it’s so easy to let the weather bring you down, and often times it seems best just to stay indoors. But if you try, it’s possible to find many reasons to fall in love with winter. With 2013 just around the corner, today’s a great day to get outside and soak in the sun while reflecting on the past year. Despite this crazy cold, I can think of so many reasons to be grateful for the life I have here. I’m looking forward to a year of possibility in 2013. My New Year’s Resolutions are in the works.
Hope you have a wonderful New Year’s Eve!
